How can I find music recordings?
Answer
The Music Collection includes thousands of audio recordings, plus access to subscription streaming resources. Music recordings cannot be browsed on the shelf, but they are listed in Search@UW. When you choose an item in Search@UW, look at the "format" description in the item details: "online resource" indicates a streaming recording, "audio disc, 4 ¾ in." means CDs, and other audio disc sizes are usually vinyl. If you locate a CD or LP recording in Search@UW, ask for it at the Media and Reserve Services desk on the lower level. Sound recordings circulate for one week to all UWM ID holders.
