Yes and no. Ebooks can be put on "reserve" in the sense that they can be associated with a specific course in the online library catalog, but their use will not be restricted to only those students in that course. 

The majority of the ebooks available through the UWM Libraries have unlimited simultaneous users, meaning that your students will still be able to access the ebook on reserve even if someone else has it checked out.

Those ebooks available through the UWM Libraries that have user limits, or a limited number of virtual copies that can be checked out at the same time, should be clearly labeled as such in the online library catalog. If you assign these titles as e-reserves, please plan ahead to make sure that all your students have the chance to access the material.
