Books for early readers are shelved in the Curriculum Collection along side books for older children and teens. Using the search box on the Curriculum Collection Resources page, you can limit your search to Children's and YA materials. From there, you can look at the information in book records for clues about the reading level of the an item. Look at details like word count, the presence of illustrations, and number of pages to accurately gauge the grade level. Books in fiction and non-fiction that are intended for beginning readers have a yellow "Easy Reading" sticker on the spine.
