Yes, if you place a Local Request in Search@UW, a library staff will find and hold books for you.
Please note: this is not a same-day service,. Placing a hold does not stop someone else from coming in to the library and checking the item out ahead of you. The item is not reserved for you until it is on the hold shelf.
To make a paging request, log in to Search@UW, locate the record for your desired item, and use the "Local Request" option under Get It menu.
You can view the status of your requests from the "My Account" page in Search@UW. Items are held under your name at the Main Circulation Desk.
During busy times and after hours, other librarians from our chat consortium will help you. Have a non-library question? See Contact UWM and Campus IT Support.
